“All bets are off” is an American idiom of speech that, according to Oxford Languages, means the outcome of a situation is unpredictable. The Merriam-Webster dictionary states the idiom is used to describe a situation in which it is impossible to be sure about what will happen. It could mean “anything can happen.”
